About this website

This website is developed and maintained for Vanuatu Universal Access Policy Community of Practice (CoP). It's main objective is to connect people together and provide training on how to make best use of technology in their daily lives.

  1. Session 3 : Open educational content and resources provided on the gateway servers
  2. Topic 2
  3. Activity : Guided tour of RACHEL and Vanuatu resources

Activity : Guided tour of RACHEL and Vanuatu resources

Completion requirements

This activity requires the participants to use a PC or laptop computer connected to a gateway server. The TFS group can also try accessing the resources with tablet computers once they are familiarised.

A printed worksheet will be handed out at the beginning of this activity.

Your facilitator will demonstrate how to access and navigate the resources on the portal, and show you examples from each collection in the RACHEL Library and Vanuatu resources.

You are then asked to explore the resources yourself, guided by the worksheet. As you review each collection, answer the questions in the worksheet. You should be thinking about how the material links to the curriculum and to professional development.

Consider:
•    How do the resources map to your teaching (curriculum)
•    Which student level/grade do they relate to?
•    Are they useful for TPD?
•    Do you have specific lesson ideas or teaching methods?
•    How will you manage students access? During class, assignments, use projector, etc?
