About this website

This website is developed and maintained for Vanuatu Universal Access Policy Community of Practice (CoP). It's main objective is to connect people together and provide training on how to make best use of technology in their daily lives.

Completion requirements
Worksheet
The facilitator will hand out printed copies of the worksheet and go over it with you.
List of apps
Read through the list of apps. You can identify them on your tablets. the facilitator will demonstrate a few on screen. 
Making curriculum linkages and thinking about teaching methods using the apps
Watch the short presentation that the facilitator will show.
Note that as you try out the apps,  think about :
(a) curriculum linkages (including subjects, age groups/grades)
(b) teaching methods / how the app could be used in teaching, lesson activities, student work etc

The exercise
Now work through the worksheet.
  • Work their way through the apps.
  • Choose those apps they think may be interesting and not just in alphabetical order
  • Review the app and write next to it on the worksheet any curriculum categories that apply, or write down new categories of your own
  • Similarly, write down ways the app could be used to promote educational outcomes, Using the space provided
Reflection

the facilitator will guide participants in a discussion of their findings and observations. Share any interesting feedback that you may have with the group.
